Best Roof Rack for 2017 Toyota Prius with Sunroof

Can I open my 2017 Prius sunroof with a roof rack installed? Which roof rack is best for my car?

You may be able to still use your sunroof with a roof rack installed but probably not if you have any accessories mounted on the crossbars. If the mounting points go underneath the crossbars the sun roof will likely make contact with them.

The rack I recommend for your 2017 Toyota Prius is the aerobar Rhino-Rack. You'll need the crossbars # RRVA126B-2, legs # RRRLKVA, and fit kit # DK467. I've linked a video that shows the rack on a 2008 Prius. The bars and legs are the same but it's a different fit kit because of the different model year, but it'll look and install in the same fashion.

If you want you can open your sunroof and meaure how high it is from the roof. Compare that to the 4 inches of clearance you get with the Rhino-Rack legs and you'll know if you can open the roof or not.
