Will Curt Hitch Extension and Reducer for 2-1/2 Trailer Hitches Cause Cargo Carrier to Tilt Upward
Question:
Im wanting to use this extension to put a cargo tray behind my Lance 825 truck camper, but it looks like the bar tilts upward. Im worried that my cargo tray will be sitting at a slant. Am I correct in this thinking?

I went out to the warehouse to take a look at the Curt Hitch Extension and Reducer for 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches # C45048 to see if there was a tilt to it. There is a very slight bend in the bar but not enough to make a cargo carrier such as the Curt # C18152 tilt upward, particularly if it is loaded with cargo.
It is also possible to bend the extension using the same methods you would if your trailer hitch was somehow bent during the shipping process; I have added a help article which details how you would go about doing this.
