Recommended Hitch Mounted Bike Rack and Snowboard Rack for 2014 Acura TL
Question:
Hello, We like to snowboard during the winter and we are planning on getting bikes for the summer to stay active. What would be the best way for us to transport bikes during the summer and boards during the winter? Up to now weve been putting snowboards on the back seat but we would prefer to have a better and safer way of transporting them. Right now its just my husband and I but our daughter will be joining us soon. Please give us your best recommendation, we dont have the preference in terms of brand but open for all kinds of suggestions. Car: Acura TL 2014 Thank you

For your 2014 Acura TL, I recommend starting with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver item # C11496. This is a class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver that bolts to your Acura with included hardware.
Then I recommend the Thule Apex XT 4 Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting # TH9025XT which will be limited to 2 bikes with a class 1 hitch which is all that is available for your current vehicle but will fit 4 bikes up to 35 lbs each when you use a class II hitch or a 2 inch hitch receiver which this rack is also compatible with.
For your snowboards, I recommend the Thule Tram Ski and Snowboard Carrier Adapter for Hitch-Mounted Bike Racks # TH9033 which will work great with the bike carrier.
