Recommended Cargo Trailer Air Conditioner and AC Power Wiring

Question:

I am wanting to install a roof mounted RV A/C with power strip on a 24’ cargo trailer. I also want to add about three 110 GFI electrical outlets. The trailer only has a battery for brakes and 12v LED cargo lights. I want to add a 30amp RV connection on the outside and a breaker/fuse/battery charger panel like my RV has as a control center. What items would you recommend for a set up like this?

For your AC power Setup and Air Conditioner additions, I recommend the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Ceiling Vent and Start Capacitor # ACM135C. This air conditioner will allow you to simply cut a 14-1/4 by 14-1/4 inch square hole (standard roof vent size) where you want to mount the unit. I've attached the installation instructions to help with placement and mounting.

We do not carry the AC power outlets or panel with breakers, but we do carry the Go Power Transfer Switch - Quick Connect - 30 Amp # 342GPTS or # 34264403, Mighty Cord Replacement RV Power Inlet - 30 Amp Twist Lock - Black # A10-30INBKVP and Mighty Cord RV Power Cord with Handle - 30 Amp Male to Twist Lock Female Connector - 25' Long # A10-3025ED90.

Let me know if you have further questions.

For the wiring from the inlet to the panel and from the panel to your Air Conditioners and power receptacles I recommend using the Flex Conduit with wiring and electrical boxes you can find at the local home improvement store.
