Troubleshooting 12 Volt Accessory Trailer Wiring Circuit Not Active on 2003 GMC Sierra

Question:

..,,my new deep cycle RV battery has stopped charging from my 2003 GMC Sierra which has the camper pkg. pre-wired in..with both the 7 pin socket as well as the 4 prong flat socket...Ive check the socket with my Light Tester and found that the Contact in the 1 oclock position which is suppose to be the power feed for charging the house battery has no fire coming to the battery from the Truck generator...My question : is there a fuse that might be burnt out in the trucks charge system that has caused a dis-connect to the umbilical cable...and how could it be found...will appreciate any info you can give me ...thanks...

Under the hood of your 2003 GMC Sierra there is a fuse box on the driver side. There is a fuse and a relay for the 12 volt power circuit of the 7-way which you've determined has stopped working. Check the fuse box diagram on the lid of the box or in the owners manual and you'll see which fuse is related to the 12 volt trailer wiring circuit.
