Trailer Hitch Receiver Class V for 2006 Ford F-350 with 40 Gallon Tank Behind Axle

Question:

Looking to install the Curt Class V C-15810 onto a 2006 F-350 XL Super duty. The Rub I have found is that my truck is equipped with a 40 gallon AFT of axle fuel tank which is located where the spare tire would normally be. Will this hitch still fit my vehicle despite the fuel tank being there? The Hitch has been shipped so I havent got to actually play with it yet.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V - 2-1/2" # C15810 is a confirmed fit for a 2006 F-350 Super Duty. The fuel tank location you gave is normally for a Cab and Chassis model according to my contact at Curt, so you will need the # C15845 instead if your vehicle frame is 34 inches wide outside to outside.
