Comparing B7W Companion 3500 to Discontinued Companion 3000 Model
Question:
Im looking at the companion 3500 gooseneck turnover ball adapter hitch. Ive found a 3000 model in like new shape for about 450.00 less. My question is are the upgrades on the 3500 going to make that much of a difference to warrant me paying extra for the 3500? Im towing with a 2005 silverado 2500.

The B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs # BWRVK3500 has a higher weight capacity from the 3000 model and is also quite a bit taller for the taller bed rails. The 3000 had a capacity of 18,000 lbs and had a height adjustability of 14-3/4 inches to 16-3/4 inches. The newer 3500 adjusts from 16-1/4 inches to 18-1/4 inches. The other difference is the foot pads are now adjustable and there is some forward and aft adjustment in the post on the newer model.
Based on that information, you will need to determine your desired fit. Both will fit into the Turnoverball gooseneck hitch well.
