Different Jaw Design for Fifth Wheel Hitches for 2018 Ram 2500 Factory Rail Kit
Question:
I have a 2018 Ram 2500 with the factory rail kit and am looking at fifth wheel hitches for my truck but I don't know what's difference between slide bar jaws and dual jaws?

The big difference between the slide bar jaws and a dual jaw setup is how tight the hitch will hold the king pin of the trailer. A slide bar setup is an economically priced option but it won't hold the king pin very tight and will allow quite a bit of movement. A dual jaw will hold the king pin tightly and give you a much smoother ride quality overall and will give you a much better overall towing experience.
For your 2018 Ram 2500 with a factory rail kit I'd recommend the B and W Companion for Ram Rail Kits part # BWRVK3600 as it has the nicest dual jaw system which will give you a very tight fit to the king pin.
