How to Tow a 2019 Kia Sportage Behind a Motorhome
Question:
Im buying a 2019 Kia Sportage front wheel drive and need to know if it can be flat towed behind my Rv ? I was going to get one of those two bar systems to tow it so all four wheels are on the ground . Also if it can be towed like that will it rack up miles while being towed ? Thanks for any feed back

The owner's manual for your 2019 Kia Sportage was not exactly cut and dry when listing the flat and dolly tow procedures but if I read it correctly, the FWD models can only be dolly towed with the front two wheels off of the ground which would make sense when compared to other years.
Unfortunately, you would not be able to use a tow bar as the front two wheels on your Sportage must be suspended in the air. However, we have a really nice tow dolly, the Demco Kar Kaddy SS Tow Dolly part # DM9713045 which has self-steering wheels to improve maneuvering and a higher weight capacity than most due to the disc brakes which makes it an ideal choice for your Sportage.
I have attached a review video for you as well. The owner's manual did not say anything about racking up miles while in tow so you would need to defer to the manufacture but most will not.
