Replacement Electric and Heated Towing Mirrors for a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Question:
Have a couple questions, I have a 2017 Chevrolet 1500, it has power mirrors and heated only, its the work truck package. I am seeing all kinds of issues about the harness how it can make the engine light come on, do they make a exact plug in mirror? I understand the installation but will I need a different wire harness? This truck is a lease and I will be going in a different direction in two years so no need to upgrade what I have just a exact plug in?

Replacement towing mirrors for your 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 have the correct wiring harness/connectors on them. For your truck you can use # KS62147-48G which will retain the electric operation and heat features of your existing side mirrors.
However, if your stock mirrors have the ambient temperature sensor in them then plugging in mirrors like these that do not have it can cause issues. I have only heard of this issue on certain Ram trucks so far though but not for these K-Source mirrors that fit your Silverado.
The alternative is to use universal towing mirrors such as # KS3990. I have linked videos of both sets of mirrors for you.
