Installing the Jensen RV Stereo # JWM60A to Replace Old Jensen AWN960
Question:
Replacing a AWN960 with a JWM60A As the subject line states I am replacing a radio in my trailer and the wiring seems odd. On the old radio there is a 12V switched, 12V battery and a 12V trigger and on the replacement radio there is just a 12V switched. Is there a manual for what wires go where or am I missing something??

The 12V trigger will turn on another component like an external amplifier to awaken in from sleep mode. The 12V direct power is found on some units and not on others and is often a low amperage power for a clock and then the 12V switched is utilizing the ignition switch to give power to the radio for all functions.
The Jensen Stereo -AM/FM - CD/DVD - USB - Bluetooth # JWM60A has a 12V trigger labeled amp remote. It only has the 12V switched power input so I recommend connecting the 12V switched to that and terminate the 12V direct power. This will keep your new stereo from draining your battery power when not being used. That 12V switched will have an ever so slight draw to allow the clock and presets to remain functional.
I've attached the installation manual to assist.
