Recommended Charger for Breakaway Kit Battery When Storing for Long Periods of Time
Question:
My trailer will not get a tremendous amount of use so what powers the charger when the trailer is not in use? Do you plug in an extension cord from a 110 a/c outlet or something else?

Expert Reply:
If your trailer won't be getting used very often, it is wise to use a maintainer charger on your trailer battery and breakaway battery to keep them in good working order. I recommend using a battery charger like the NOCO Genius # 329-GENIUS5 so it will maintain your battery. This will make it so you can simply plug it in when storing it and you can be sure it will work well when you are ready to tow.
