What Does Wire with Ring Terminal Under Brake Booster of Silverado Control
Question:
Some of your videos show both left and right fuse box studs attached to red wires under the hood. I need to know whether both need to be attached. I currently have the right side wire near the fuse box attached to the left stud. I have not attached the red wire that is under the brake fluid reservoir to the right side smaller diameter stud yet, What function does it serve? I have seen videos where sometime it is hooked up and sometimes not. Please advise.

I attached a help article that covers the entire process of installing a brake controller in a 2007 Chevy Silverado like your 1500 model. The specific wire you are mentioning that is hanging out under the brake booster is for the 12 volt power circuit that runs to the 7-way. It's not necesarry for installing a brake controller. It would be for if you needed a power circuit to charge a trailer battery or activate accessory lights.
