Recommended 3-Bike Trunk Mount Rack for a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude

Question:

Hi Trying to find a 3 bike trunk rack to fit my 2018 Jeep GC with a spoiler . I do not have the bars on top will I need need those? Or will this fit over the spoiler without damaging it? This is a leased car so that’s why I didn’t look into a hitch. Thanks

The Malone Hanger, part # MPG2139, is a 3-bike rack and is technically confirmed to fit your 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I've linked a video f how it installs on a Mazda CX-7 which also has a spoiler kind of like your Jeep. Personally, I don't like how the straps of the Malone are right on the spoiler putting pressure on it.

Instead I recommend the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top, part # HRF2-3. Take a look at this install video on a Buick. The straps are off the spoiler because of the high-rise frame of the rack. I've also attached a picture that shows the straps for you. The rack can be installed using a roof rack's crossbars but it doesn't have to be. Since your Altitude doesn't have bars or raised rails the clips can be fit into the seam of the rear hatch.
