What Keeps Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter DM6194 In Place when Towing
Question:
Im trying to understand how it locks in place and not understanding from answers posted. Its clear that the 4 corners fit into the existing pucks, as well as the center part that fits into the gooseneck. It appears clear that the gooseneck part has a locking feature. Whats not clear is if any of the 4 corner attachments have a locking feature, or if the posts just sit in the holes. If thats the case, what keeps the adapter from bending when you go over bumps? Thanks for any help you can provide.

The four posts on the bottom of Demco adapter # DM6194 do just sit in the pucks. The gooseneck attachment, which uses ball bearings to secure into the gooseneck ball cavity, is what keeps the adapter in place. The pin weight of the trailer will keep the adapter held down as well. While there may be some vertical movement as there is with any hitch it would not be enough for a sudden and rapid shift of weight to bend the adapter. I have linked a review video and the instructions for you to check out.
