Can Air Bags and Weight Distribution be Used at the Same Time
Question:
Can I use the rear airbag suspension system to bring the truck level once an ATV is in the back of the truck and then use the weight distribution hitch to connect the camper trailer? In effect, I will be using both systems?

Yes, you can use weight distribution and air bag helper springs such as # F2445 together/at the same time. You will want to load the truck first, then couple to the trailer without engaging the spring bars. Then you would use the air bags to level the truck. Next you would engage the weight distribution system spring bars. And last, you would then adjust the air bags as needed.
But keep in mind that for weight distribution you have to factor in the weight of anything carried behind the rear axle of the truck to the trailer tongue weight. Otherwise the system you use could be underrated for the amount of weight behind the rear axle.
So for example if half of the ATV is sitting behind the rear axle of the truck and the ATV weighs 500 pounds that would mean you would have to add about 250 pounds to the trailer tongue weight. So if the trailer tongue weight is 500 pounds that would be a total tongue weight of 750 pounds. If your weight distribution system is rated for up to 600 pounds then it is overloaded and the system will not be effective.
I have included some links on weight distribution and tongue weight as well as Firestone air bags.
