Can Kodiak XL ProLube Kit Work on Dexter EZ Lube Axle
Question:
On Pro Lubes web page they say not to use this kit with a EZ lube axle. Im not sure how this would not work, may need to remove the zerk fitting for a clearance problem... Do you have any info regarding this? From the product reviews it looks like other EZ lube people have switched with no problems. I would love to ditch my EZ lube for oil bath . I dont trust EZ Lube not to blow out the grease seal so I hand pack the bearings the old fashion way. Thanks for your help with this.

As long as your existing hub features a 2.440 hub bore diameter you can indeed use the Kodiak XL ProLube Kit # XLPROLUBE2440KIT that you referenced on your EZ Lube Axle. As you mentioned, you may need to remove the zerk fitting to allow for clearance with the cap but that would be the only reason it might not fit right out of the box.
This kit includes 2 seals that have an inner diameter of 2.25 inches and an outer diameter of 3.376 inches so you will also want to verify that this matches your existing grease seals. This kit will have everything you need (even the oil) to convert to a oil bath hubs.
I have attached a short video demonstration on this product that you can also check out.
