Camper Trailer Rated Bike Rack Recommendation for 2017 Keystone Montana with 1-1/4 inch Hitch
Question:
we have a 2017 keystone montana legacy package with a factory 1 1/4inch rear hitch with a rating of 150lbs. the swaghman escape 2bike rack weights is approx 66lbs our bikes weight 35lbs and 30lbs. can we put a 1 1/4inch to 2inch receiver adapter in the factory hitch and use the swaghman escape?

Expert Reply:
Since hitch adapters cut the capacity of the hitches, they are installed in due to added length and leverage they are not recommended to be used with a bike rack like the part # S94FR. You would need a 2" hitch installed on your fifth wheel. Then you would have a selection of bike racks for your Montana. We would need the model number of your Montana to make a solid recommendation for you.
