Can BoatBuckle Tie-Down Strap With 400 lb Working Load Limit be Used With 890 lb Jet Ski

Question:

I have a jet ski with a weight of 890 pounds with a full tank of gas. Would this item be good to use as a safety strap in case of the trailer winch fails or do I need a stronger strap? Thanks.

The BoatBuckle Pro Series Kwik-Lok Bow Tie-Down Strap # IMF18741 has a working load limit (WLL) of 400 lbs and all straps and cables should be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL); shat this means is you need to have straps that have a WLL at or equal to your jet ski's 890 lbs.

So you can use the Tie-Down Strap # IMF18741 if your winch strap had a WLL of 500 lbs. Otherwise you would need to use Strap # IMF14393 which has a WLL of 500 lbs (so your winch strap would need a 400 lb WLL) or Strap # IMF14220 which has a WLL of 833 lbs, necessitating a winch strap WLL of less than 75 lbs, and yours is assuredly higher.
