Should 2014 Ford Fiesta Have Key Put in ACC Position to Flat Tow
Question:
In the owners manual of my 2014 Fiesta, manual trans, it says put in neutral, and turn ign. to acc. Is this a misprint? The 2013 Fiesta manual trans doesnt say anything about leaving the key in acc. Is there a difference between the 13 and 14? This is worrying me as Im ready to take delivery of a 2014 that I want to flat tow. Thanks,

The owners manual is the final authority on flat towing procedures. It's not uncommon for vehicles to change year to year. Normally needing to put the key in the ACC position is to allow the steering wheel to be unlocked so that it can track behind the tow vehicle properly. I'd recommend following the owners manual but if you want more verification you'll want to check with a Ford dealer.
