Recommended Suspension System for Older EZ Loader Trailer

Question:

I need an axle... Its on a 1972 ezload trailer. The axle measures from outside of hub to outside of hub at 67 inches. The springs mount above the axle and are 48.75 inches apart. It also bends down 4 inches on the ends of the axle. It also has a 24 inch set of springs that are 1.75 inches wide. Has 5 on 4.5 hubs the ones on it are tapered. No breaks. Is this even a possibility of getting?

That type of axle is possible to get though you may need to have it custom-fabricated as we do not offer one with those dimensions.

One possibility to consider is a Timbren Axle-Less Suspension System so you would not need an axle at all. You will need to know your EZ-Loader's GVWR for this; for example the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System # ASR3500S06 has a 3,500 capacity and uses EZ-Lube spindles with a 4" lift.

With this system you would then use Idler Hubs # 84545UC1-EZ which are for use with EZ-Lube spindles and have a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern.
