How To Choose the Correct BoatBuckle G2 Retractable Ratcheting Tie-Downs

Question:

I need a new coupler for my trailer and need help with that. It has a PN 82543. Also, the My question about the straps is regarding the angle from where they mount on the trailer vs where they hook on the boat. All of your videos shows them going straight up. Mine go way back from where the trailer ends to where the boat ends. I would also like to know if there is an alternative to the books as you can see the hooks rub on the fiberglass of my boat currently.

In order to secure your 1994 Regal Ventrua 6.8 with the BoatBuckle G2 Retractable Ratcheting Tie-Down Straps you will need to use one tie down at the bow and two tie downs at the transom. For this you will need both part # IMF14220 and part # IMF08893. This will give you a break strength rating of 7,500 lbs (2,500 lbs per tie down) therefore will be sufficient.

We also have the Mounting Brackets part # IMF14254 if the tie down points on the trailer are not where you need them to be. I have attached review videos for you as well.

The best replacement we have for the Atwood Hydraulic Trailer Brake Actuator part 82543 is the Demco Hydraulic Trailer Brake Actuator part # DM72VR. This actuator is rated for use on drum brakes, works with a 2" hitch ball, and has a 7,000 lb weight capacity. It is made in the U.S.A. and has a one year warranty. In regards to the angle of the BoatBuckle G2 Retractable Ratcheting Tie-Down Straps, they need to be within 30 degrees of straight up and down (see photo). If the anchor points you have on your boat trailer do not allow for this then you would need to have new ones fabricated for you. Unfortunately, there are no alternatives to the vinyl coated hooks but once the tie-downs are at the proper angle this should not be an issue.
