Question:
Determine if 2011 Honda pilot EX-L is Tow Ready How do I determine this?

Expert Reply:
Your 2011 Honda Pilot EX-L will be tow ready if you have a trailer hitch, trailer wiring harness, and ball mount. If your trailer has electric brakes you will also need a brake controller to be tow ready.
If you have a trailer with a 4-way plug, then I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118491 for your vehicle wiring harness if you don't already have one. If you want a 7-way connection and don't already have it, then I recommend the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118253. Then if you need to add an electric brake controller, I recommend the # 3070-P wiring harness and the # 90195.
If you need a ball mount, I recommend the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit # 989900 which will give you different rise or drop options and hitch ball size options. I've attached a video to assist.
Your vehicle has a towing capacity between 3,500 and 4,500 lbs. Your owners manual and Sticker inside your Driver's door jamb will help you determine your specific vehicle's capacity.
