Clearance From Center of Hitch Pin Hole To Rear Bumper of CURT Hitch # 12093 on 2011 Mazda CX-7

Question:

inches from center pin to clear bumper on 2011 CX-7 Mazda.my bicycle rack is just over 6inch from center pin to upright. Have purchased two hitchs from you. Also need proper wiring harness for 2011 sport no power seat, but did they wire the 2010 and 2011 diferently, so the jumper wire is no longer needed?

I contacted CURT about the clearance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the rear bumper with the CURT hitch # 12093 on a 2011 Mazda CX-7. CURT was unable to provide this measurement.

However, we have installed another model hitch on a 2010 Mazda CX-7. The CURT hitch should mount approximately the same location as the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 36419. The measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the rear bumper is 9 inches on the # 36419 hitch.

You would not be able to use you current bike rack, as the clearance from the center of the hitch pin hole is under 9 inches. You would need to find a hitch bike rack that measures more than 9 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the upright bar. For this, I would recommend Swagman Trailhead 2 Bike Carrier, part # S63360 which will fit Class I and II 1-1/4 and Class III 2 inch hitch applications. The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the upright bar on the # S63360 measures 14-1/2 inches.
