Benefit of Switching to Higher Weight Load Range Tires

Question:

I have a yamaha golf cart with 205/65/10 B on my current car... Better to go with a higher load range tire is,. c,d, or e??/ Better ride? longer lasting??

In your tire size 205/65-10 we have bias ply tires in four load ranges, B, C, D and E. Each will handle different amounts of weight. If your current tires are B-rated then you can switch to a higher-weight-capacity load range C tire if you like.

Using a tire that can handle more weight than it actually has to typically means it will run cooler, and cooler running tires typically last longer since heat is a tire's worst enemy.

The page I linked shows both tires and wheel/tire items in your size. The items that are pre-mounted on wheels are offered in three bolt patterns, 4-on-4 like # AM3H460 which has a load range E tire, 5-on-4-1/2 like # AM3H390 which has a load range C tire, and 5-on-5-1/2 like # AM3H453 which also has a load range C tire.

Tires will perform best and last longer if they are always maintained at their maximum cold psi pressure and if they are protected from UV rays during storage by use of tire covers like # 052963762204.
