What Are White, Black, Brown, Green, Blue and Red Wires on a Trailer for

Question:

I have an 02 Coleman Mesa and need some help with the hitch plug wiring. 6 pole and the colors are white, black, brown, green, blue and red. White and black being substantially larger I take are the positive and ground. Blue being brakes? And brown being running lights etc? Would it be red blinker green blinker?

I wish I could tell you exactly what the white, black, brown, green, blue and red wires on your trailer do but this is not possible as anyone could have replaced the wires on the trailer at some point in time not to mention that not all trailer manufacturers used the same color wires for everything though, now it is becoming more standardized. I would have to agree that the higher gauge black and white wires are for the ground but the only way to know for sure is to test them for function with a circuit tester as this will be the only true way.
