Is Fairlead Needed for Bulldog Winch Snowplow Winch # BDW15021

Today I received my new snowplow winch and mounting plate from Etrailer to be installed on my 2010 Honda Rancher 420 TRX ATV. Nowhere in the online write up nor in the installation instructions can I find mention of whether or not a Fairlead is required for use with this winch. I have a 2010 model Cycle Country Bear Force Manual Lift Snow Plow that I wish to convert to a power lift. My question is do I need a Fairlead for use with this plow and if so which one should I order?

The Bulldog Winch Snowplow Winch # BDW15021 referenced in your question uses a flat polyester strap. When used as a snowplow winch, which should just require direct up and down use, a fairlead is not necessary. The winch is designed to be used in this manner without a fairlead.
