Wiring Kit Needed for Towing with a 2013 Chevrolet Traverse
Question:
I am looking to put a tow hitch on a 2013 Chevrolet Traverse . I see you sell the wiring harness but it says for vehicles with factory tow package. I an going to purchase the drawtite hitch but not sure which wiring harness to purchase?? Can you help? Thanks,

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch # 75528 is a great option for your 2013 Chevrolet Traverse! I can definitely help you figure out the best wiring kit to purchase to get you on the road.
If you have the tow package on your Traverse then you will simply need to connect the T-One # 118270 up behind the bumper on the passenger side of your vehicle (see attached photo). This kit also requires you to connect the included fuses and relays to complete the wiring circuits. All of this is demonstrated in the linked installation video on a 2014 Traverse.
If you don't see that connector at the rear of your Traverse then you will need a wiring kit like the Hopkins # HM11141150 which tees into the connectors behind your tail lights and draws power directly from your battery via the included wiring. The written instructions have been linked for you to reference for this installation.
To complete your towing setup you will also need a ball mount, hitch ball, and hitch pin & clip. The Curt Class III Ball Mount with 2" Ball - 2-1/4" Drop # C45534 is a great option to use but you will want to consult the attached ball mount article to determine if the 2-1/4" drop is what you need for your towing setup.
