Location of 12V Power Wiring in RV for Installing Fan-Powered Roof Vent
Question:
I bough two of these fans and I am quite excited. Air movement, quiet and very nice looking. My question: I am installing in an opening that previously did not have fans. How do I go about finding the wires in the ceiling after I have removed the old vents? There will be wires up there, right???

Unfortunately we have no way to predict the presence or specific location of wiring in any given RV for installation of a fan-powered roof vent such as the Fan-Tastic Vent 12V model # FV801250.
You may have success by contacting the RV maker with the unit's VIN. Sometimes RV makers will install certain wiring or other features on all production of their RVs in case customers wish to have a local dealership install an optional item. It is much easier to install this wiring at the factory than it is to try to retro-fit it.
You may find wires in the ceiling that have other functions apart from supplying 12V power for a fan motor, such as those that power the tail lights, so I do suggest contacting the manufacturer as a first step.
