No Red Light on Tekonsha Mark 12 Brake Controller with Manual Override

No red light when using manual over ride, works fine with brake pedal ?

This sounds like it may be an internal problem in the brake controller itself. In order to test this you will want to sever the blue brake output wire 6" back from behind the controller. With the manual override applied, test the blue wire with a circuit tester to see if it illuminates the test light. If it does not then there is an internal short in the brake controller and it will need to be replaced for which I recommend using the Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake Controller part # 39510.

The Voyager is an excellent option for you. It is a proportional controller that adjusts the trailer's braking based on the deceleration of the tow vehicle. It has an easy to red LED display and a five year warranty. I have attached a review video for you as well.
