Replacement Spring Seats for a 2,000 Pound Trailer Axle
Question:
I think I know my answer based on the QandA, but I want to ask directly before I buy. I have a 4x8 folding utility trailer. The width of the trailer is 48, the center of each spring where the nut is is 46.5inch and the existing axle is 56inch flange to flange. I am looking for 60inch flange to flange to accommodate wider tires. Do you have a product with a 46.5inch space between spring seats and a 60inch flange to flange distance? Or is there some sort of hub extender that you could recommend for a 2000 lb trailer? My guess is your going to tell me to reweld new spring seats on the 60inch axle, so if that is the case, please let me know again the part number. Thanks!

Since we do not have a close enough match for what you are looking for in an axle the best solution is to move the springs seats were you need to or weld on new ones. Welding on new ones will be easier. We always recommend that any welding that needs to be done is performed by a professional welder. The spring seat for a 2,000 pound, 1-3/4 inch diameter axle is # TRSS175. These are sold in a quantity of 1. If you have a different axle diameter let me know. We currently have spring seats for round axles only.
