For your 2017 Salem 27DBK Trailer I recommend the Curt Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch # 13703. This Class III hitch is designed specifically for RVs and trailers like yours and will fit box, C-channel, or I-beam frames that are 22 to 72 inches wide. It features a 2 inch receiver opening and a 3,500 towing weight capacity. It can be either bolted to the frame with the included hardware or welded for a no-drill application.
