Lippert SolidSteps Recommendation for 2014 Forest River Flagstaff V-Lite
Question:
I am thinking of purchasing the Lippert LC678027 stairs. My door opening is 28 wide. Your site says that is the only measurement I need but what about where the hinge sits. How do you determine if the bottom of the door will clear it? Do you remove the existing threshold? I looked at the MorRyde seps and they asked for more measurements. Very confusing. We have a 2014 Flagstaff VLite 32 Thank you

The Lippert SolidSteps like the part # LC678028 are universal enough for RV doors that you really only have to make sure you have the correct kit based on the door width. The # LC678028 is for 28 inch to 30 inch wide doors like what would fit your RV since it has a 28 inch wide opening. The hinge width has already been taken into consideration. I attached a picture that shows the vertical height too though incase you want to compare the measurements to your RV.
The second pictures show it installed behind the existing threshold of the door.
