Drive ZLD-5217 RV In-Dash DVD Player Closed Captioning Issue

Question:

My RV came with the Drive ZLD-5217 in-dash DVD player. For the life of me it will not turn off the closed captioning when watching a movie. I have turned everything off related to the closed captioning on the TV, so I know its the player. I cant even get to the menu when a DVD is ed, it starts the DVD automatically without allowing me to make any changes to the preferences before it starts. Any assistance you all would be able to provide would be helpful.

Expert Reply:

The Drive DVD Player with Remote for RVs # 324-000032 like many other units will automatically play the disc as you stated. The solution is to turn off the subtitles on your DVD player. The labeling is different but it basically is the same thing---closed captioning on TV and Subtitles on DVD.
