How to Lock and Secure the Swagman XC 2-Bike Rack Part # S64650
Question:
I have read about security concerns with this bike carrier. If my hitch has holes doesnt the draw-tite have them? can I just lock the bikes to the holes next to the receiver? Also, Did I read correctly that it comes with an adapter to use it in a 2-inch receiver? If so, does it work well to keep the sway down and the fit tight, or should I purchase something additional? We will be carrying 2 adult hybrid trek bikes, about 31 pounds each, the ladies with the bar attachment.

The Swagman XC 2-Bike Rack part # S64650 will work with the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75952 on your 2014 Nissan Murano as it includes the 1-1/4" to 2" adapter like you mentioned. The two large holes on the trailer hitch are for use with safety chains while towing and will not be used with this bike rack. In order to both lock the hitch to the rack and the rack to the vehicle you are going to want to use the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock and Cable for Swagman Bike Racks part # S64031.
The threaded hitch pin that is included with the rack and lock set will help to reduce sway but for the best results you will also want to add the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch Anti-Rattle Device part # RM-061-125.
