If you are using a fixed position fifth-wheel trailer hitch, you will want a Sidewinder King Pin. A Sidewinder moves the pivot point back 22 inches to provide additional clearance needed when making tight turns. To determine which Sidewinder you will need, you will need to match up the make and model number of your existing pin box (see FAQ).
All of the Sidewinder arms measure 22 inches. To determine the length of your existing pin box, you will measure from the center of the king pin to the center of the mounting holes, where the pin box attaches to the trailer.
Please note that a Sidewinder should only be used with fixed position fifth-wheel hitches and cannot be used with slider type hitches.
If you can send me the make and model number of your pin box, I would be happy to recommend the correct Sidewinder. I have linked an FAQ on Sidewinders for short bed trucks.
