Replacement Wall Switch Kit for Ventline Northern Breeze 12V Powered Vent
Question:
I have what I was told by Prime time manufacturing that I have a part number 70A05401A. Roof Vent 12V Northern Breeze Power. Its a vent in my bathroom controlled by two switches. One opens the lid and the other turn on the small fan. The lid opens on its own without using the switch. Can you tell me if there is a way to fix this other than buying a new fan? Thanks

Northern Breeze trailer vents like your 12V powered model are made by Ventline, which is a primary vent maker in the RV market. We offer four models of 14 x 14-inch 12V-powered Ventline roof vents you can see on the linked page.
We do offer a replacement wall switch kit, items # VC0533-03-A in white and # VC0533-02-A in black that will offer you a much more cost-effective repair option than an entire new roof vent.
I recommend that as you prepare to install your preferred color of replacement switch you first take some photos of the original switch, with all of its wiring still connected, so that you have a fool-proof guide for installing the new one. These switch kits have a total of 5 wire leads as shown in the linked photo.
As you get into the process of removing the old switch take time to check the condition of all of the wires on the RV side. The problem could be caused by a short due to worn insulation or a wire that is pinched.
