Compatibility of B&W 5th Wheel Hitches with 2017 Ford F-250 4WD Super Duty
Question:
Will this work with a 66 bed 2017 f250 4WD
asked by: Joseph D
Expert Reply:
For a short-bed truck such as your 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty that has the factory 5th wheel; prep package the B&W Companion hitch you need to use is the slider version, part # BWRVK3370. But in the event that your 5th wheel trailer has a pivoting Sidewinder/Revolution pin box then you can use the fixed version of the hitch # BWRVK3305.
Both of these hitches require that the truck have the special factory 5th wheel prep kit with pucks in the truck bed that serve as the attachment points. Please refer to the linked photo illustration of this factory prep.
If you do not have this factory kit you can still take advantage of the outstanding build quality of B&W hitches by installing an under-bed install kit such as # BWGNRK1116-5W and the mating Companion slider model # BWRVK3400-5W.
