Installing Trailer Brake Controller on 2013 Chevy Tahoe
Question:
Will this 3026-S adapter work on a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe? If so, where is the mating plug on the Tahoe located?

Expert Reply:
Your 2013 Chevy Tahoe does not have a factory brake controller plug under the dash, so a custom wiring adapter like the Tekonsha # 3026-S that you referenced cannot be used to install a brake controller.
With that being said, if your Tahoe is equipped with the factory 7-Way connector, all the wires are already run. You will simply need to connect the wiring from a brake controller like the excellent Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 to the wiring already present under the dash. On the brake controller, the red wire is for the brake light switch, the blue wire is for brake output to the 7-Way, the black wire is for power, and the white wire is for ground. The wiring under the dash of your Tahoe should be labeled with a tag for function.
I have attached a short video demonstration on the Prodigy P3 that you can also check out, along with the written installation instructions.
