Thule's Hitching Post Pro hitch bike rack # TH934XTR has a shipping weight of 41 lbs, so by the time you remove the packaging materials from the equation the rack's actual weight is right around 38 lbs. This is a fairly average weight for a 4 bike rack.
Just in case your looking, our lightest 4-bike carrier is the Saris Bones, part # SA884, at 22 lbs. This is an entry-level bike rack with basic features. This bike rack will fit Class II and higher trailer hitches and you can add a hitch lock, # SA3022, and a cable lock, # SA981.
