Is there a Left and Right Replacement Hinge/Strut for Thule Atlantis 1200 Cargo Box
Question:
Hello, despite the excellent advice and assistance on this site, I am so far unable to fit the replacement hinges on my Thule Atlantis 1200 Cargo Box. Basic question is this: do I invert one of the hinges say left so that they both work in the same mechanical direction? Since they fit onto the balls in only one direction, my only option it seems is to turn one of them around, such that the thinner end is attached to the base, while on the other its attached to the lid. Is this correct, or am I missing something? Thanks in advance!

You are correct. There isn't a left and right hinge, just the one hinge style for your Thule Atlantis 1200 cargo box. So one of them would need to be upside down. The hinge for the Atlantis 1200 box is # TH14933. The other one, # TH14936, is for larger boxes. If you use TH14936 it will physically fit but it will make the box harder to operate.
