Trailer Wiring Harness Options for a 2011 Toyota Sienna
Question:
what is/are the correct trailer connector wiring kits from Curt and from Tow Ready for use with a 2011 Toyota Sienna XLE with LED tail lights? The trailer is a utility trailer with tail lights and 2 night lights. Does the adapter have to provide extra power?

I currently show 2 wiring harnesses for a 2011 Toyota Sienna. First, from CURT, we have the Circuit Protected T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, # C56106. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you.
The other is the Tow Ready T-One Connector w/Upgraded Circuit Protected ModuLite, # 118498. I have included a link to the installation details and a link to a video showing a typical installation for you.
Both of the available wiring harnesses connect to the vehicle and work in the same manner. The connection points are located behind each tail light and both harnesses require a power wire that will be connected directly to the vehicle battery.
The power wire provides most of the power for the trailer lights while the tail light connections provide the proper signal so they can be used on a vehicle with LED tail lights
The Tow Ready harness is the more popular item between the two. We have not had any complaints on either harness.
