Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2017 GMC Acadia Limited SLT AWD
Question:
Can the fascia door panel be reattached after installing either of the following recommended hitches?: Draw-Tite Model #75528 Curt Model 13424 This could influence which hitch I choose to buy.

Helpful Expert Reply:
With the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75528 and the Curt # 13424 either option should allow the fascia door to be reattached like you see in the attached videos. Because both should work, I recommend the Draw-Tite option due to the stronger weight rating.
If you will be using this hitch for towing or lighted accessories, I recommend the T-One wiring harness for factory tow package # 118271. This wiring harness can be used as an OEM replacement, but it also includes the fuses and relays to activate the tow package if your vehicle was not equipped with the tow package. Then you can simply add the bracket # PK12711U which I would mount above the hitch so you can still use the cover which may require repositioning the bracket.
Then for a ball mount, I recommend the kit # 989900 to work with this assembly and also allow easy storage.
