Does Exhaust of 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Have to Be Lowered to Install Hitch
Question:
does the muffler absolutely need to be temporarily disconnected to install or can the hitch be fitted in without lowering the muffler. will be installing with the car jacked up on floor jacks. thanks,

Dropping the exhaust temporarily to install a hitch like the Curt hitch part # C13152 is basically standard procedure. There's really no way to get the hitch up into position around the exhaust without doing this step so yes it is required.
Lowering exhaust is not a terribly difficult process either although I will admit I can understand how it sounds like a bigger deal than it is.
In the install video I attached you can see our installer lower the exhaust on a 2018 Santa Fe as well.
