Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS

Question:

Just received tow hitch and TOW READY BRAND 118258 for 2011 Santa Fe GLS with trailer tow harness terminals. Tow hitch installed in 15 minutes without a hitch pun intended, BUT connectors of the car harness and the 118258 harness did not match. If at all possible I would like to use the factory provided terminals. Is there a harness available from e-trailer, short of ordering one from Hyundai?

If the 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe came with a tow package, it should have already had a wiring harness. The Tow Ready harness # 118258 is a replacement. But, it is still possible for the vehicle to have the connectors for the harness. If the connectors you found are not matching up, it could be the wrong connectors and you will have to continue searching for the right ones.

If the vehicle never had a wiring harness before, or you cannot find the connectors and what to try something else, you would need Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, # 118415. I have incldued a link to a video showing a typical installation and a link to the installation details for you.
