Can Wiring Harness Included with P3 Brake Control be Wired to Factory Brake Control Wiring Harness

can i use the wiring harness that comes with it and connect to harness that came with truck?

The wiring harness that comes with the P3 brake controller # 90195 has one end that plugs into the brake controller and the other end has blunt cut wires that will connect to the vehicle. If your tow vehicle has a factory brake controller harness you can hardwire the included P3 harness to it as long as you know what the functions are on the factory harness.
On a brake controller the white wire is ground, black is 12 volt power, blue is output to the trailer brakes, and red is input from the brake switch.
I have included a link to our help article on brake controllers. There is a section that shows the wire colors and functions of many of the OEM brake controller wiring harnesses. If you do not see your vehicle make listed or if you have different wire colors let me know the year, make, and model of the vehicle and I can see if I have the information.
