Replacement Zerk Fitting Recommendation for Dexter EZ Lube Spindle

Question:

I have Dexter EZ Lube spindles on my 2011 Jayco Jay Feather. 1 of the 4 is missing a zerk fitting and the hole in the spindle isnt threaded to accept one. How do I go about packing the bearings?

Expert Reply:

I confirmed with my contact at Dexter Axle that the grease zerk used in their EZ Lube spindles like # TRU74FR is a standard 1/4-inch pipe thread fitting that you can replace with an item like # Gzerk. Your local hardware store may have one too. You can use a grease gun kit like # L30132 on this fitting.
