Will Prodigy P3 Show Volts When Not Moving?
Question:
controller wont shut off. The p3 controller shows about 2 volts on screen even when not applying brake pedal. This results in slight drag that you can feel. I just bought new winnabago minnie and I am afraid to take it anywhere without resolving this issue. I just replaced the plug receptable with a Hopkins unit I just picked up this morning but this didnt help. Any suggestions? Other than the low voltage it sems to work fine. thanks

The Prodigy P3 # 90195 does not shut off, it goes into sleep mode after 15 minutes. Additionally, if you are not driving, it is going to be showing 1-2 volts even when you do not apply the brake pedal. This is a proportional controller so it will brake according to how you brake; as long as the brakes are working with the appropriate power when you press the brake pedal it does not sound like there is anything untoward happening.
