Kayak Carrier Recommendation that Can Accomodate Crossbar that is 1-1/2 inch Tall
Question:
I have a hand made crossbar system for the roof of my mini-camper. The square aluminum crossbars are 1.5 inches x 1.5 inches. Will the Yakima Jaylows clamp on system open wide enough to work with these?

1.5 inch tall crossbars are going to be too tall for our j-style kayak carriers to attach to. We do have a foam block style of kayak carrier that can fit a taller bar though as the Malone kayak carrier # MPG159.
