Pilot Brake Controller Display Goes Out and Trailer Brakes Stop Working With Headlights On
Question:
lights and trailer brakes have worked fine in the past,but now when I turn my headlights on the display on the controller goes blank and my trailer brakes dont work,any answers?

This sounds like a short circuit at the trailer connector. Check the vehicle and trailer side connectors for dirt and corrosion inside of the connectors and on the backs were the wires connect. Make sure they are good and clean before reconnecting them.
There could also be an issue with the red wire on the brake controller. If the controller was hardwired make sure the red wire is attached to the wire on the brake switch that shows a signal only when the brake pedal is pressed.
